How it Works

Step 1 - Obtain your marriage license
You must obtain a valid New York State marriage license before your signing. Please note: New York City requires a 24-hour waiting period after issuance unless a judicial waiver applies.

Request a signing through our website. There is no obligation, we’ll confirm availability and details with you before proceeding.

Step 3 - Meet with a licensed officiant
A New York City licensed officiant meets you at the scheduled time to complete the required legal signing. The signing itself typically takes 1-3 minutes.

Step 4 - Your marriage is legally recorded
Your marriage documentation is completed and filed by the officiant in accordance with New York City requirements. The City Clerk will automatically mail your Marriage Certificate to the address listed on your license.
